A Humanity Audit is TruePulse's proprietary candidate verification process. Candidates complete a webcam session with 4 dynamic logic puzzles that introduce rule changes mid-problem — such as remapped numbers, swapped operators, or mirrored spatial grids. Because correct answers are verified server-side and the puzzles mutate based on each response, they cannot be solved by an AI acting as a proxy for the candidate.
TruePulse scores candidates on two dimensions: accuracy on rule-breaking puzzles (where answers are never exposed to the client) and response timing variance. Humans think in irregular cognitive bursts — their response times show natural variance. AI proxies either respond too fast (under 1.2 seconds) or with robotically consistent timing (standard deviation under 300ms). The combination produces a confidence score and a human / uncertain / ai_assisted verdict.
Each puzzle introduces a novel rule that overrides intuition — for example, "3 means 7 and 7 means 3, so what is 3+7?" The puzzles are seeded by the session token, making every audit unique. AI systems cannot look up answers because the correct values are generated and verified server-side only. The real-time rule mutations also prevent pre-computation or script-based automation.
